How do I find a reputable solicitor?

Hi there,

Having already had negative experiences with two firms (mainly communication issues dealt with poorly), I get the impression that the 'no win no fee' area of the law business seems rife with sharks. Does anyone have any advice on how I should start looking for a reliable central/east London solicitor to deal with a road accident claim? Can I trust anyone that's registered on The Law Society website?
