Medical Records misuse

My former solicitors handed over my full medical records to the other sides solicitors without first reviewing it or discussing its contents with me. A lot of the information contained in it had no relevance at all to my case. The solicitors have admitted they were wrong to have done this and have offered me �?750 compensation. This is outrageous and the amount is insulting. I am angry to say the least. It has compromised my health, my dignity, my relationship with my family, my case and placed me in a position where I have been verbally harrassed/threatened by the other side from details they have obtained from my medical records. I would appreciate comments/advice in dealing with this as they cannot get away with such negligence.

Based on what you have said, it seems you probably have a very strong professional negligence case against your solicitors.

Contact the Law Society (http://www.lawsociety.org.uk/home.law) who are the regulating authority for UK law firms and they will put you in touch with a law firm who are happy to act against other law firms.
