car accident, not my fault, delay on compenstaion

Hello,
nearly 3 months ago I was in car accident, lad drove into back of my car while i was in stationary traffic.
within a week was made a settlement with 3rd party insurers where we agreed that i keeping my car and getting compensation.
(everything is going through accident management company). i was chased to take my car asap from the repair centre. in next week my solicitor asked me to get them copy of my MOT and insurance (was explained that they want to sent me money asap just needs some checking) it was done. but after long period of time i didnt received anything and started chase my solicitor.
i was told that engineer wanted to inspect my car (after about 40 days after accident!!!) but they was informed that my car all ready sold or something (they never even contacted me!!!)
and it seems that my accident management company even not trying to sort out something, i'm calling and writing emails every day, but nothing goes forward, the worst thing next month i planned long trip over the europe, but now a haven't got car..
what to do??? is it possible to chase up all these things somehow???
many thanks

hi

Sounds like your getting a bad deal from your accident management company. Seeing as they will be receiving money for referring your claim the should be doing all the chasing. I run a company which specialises in fault and non fault accidents and in particular when the insurers are delaying matters for one reason or another. If you want you can email me your contact number and I will discuss with you. Otherwise best thing you can do is find your own choice of solicitors and transfer your file to them. You will need to sign a transfer form and your new solicitors will write to the previous solicitors asking for your file. The most likely reason you have not been paid out is probably becuase the insurers dont agree to the damage to your car which is why engineer wants to inspect it. Also it is completely unacceptable that the accident management company have sold  your car, it was your legal propery so they had no right to sell it. They will have got a salvage value for the car which they have obviously pocketed. Tell the accident management company you dont want them dealing with your claim anymore, preferable to do in writing. If they give you a hard time threaten to report them to the Ministry of Justice who regulate acc management companies.
