RTA Compo

Hi,
I was involved in a RTA in December where a driver pulled out of a side road and went straigt in the side of my car.(my solicitors have gained full liability admission from the 3rd party) I have since been to the doctors on numerous occassions and am attending physio. I have slipped my L5 and S1 in the accident, am still struggling to move my neck and arms through whiplash. and have sciatica and nerve damage which is resulting in pins and needles, tingling and pain effecting my sleep. I am on tramadol and ant inflammortories for the pain.
I know its hard to give an estimate without my medical records but how much should i expect to get? My solicitors havent given me an indication.
Any advice is a great help.
Thanks

Hi

First of all sorry to hear about your accident.  Your accident was only in December so given the symptoms you are suffering at the moment it is not possible for anyone to give you a valuation on your claim.  Every claim is different and the only person able to give you an accurate estimation is your own solicitor who has all the details of your claim.  Anyone who tells you that they are able to provide a valuation on your claim otherthan your own solicitor would be misleading you.

Given the timeframes it would not be realistic to place a valuation on your claim which is why your solicitors have not done so yet.  However if you ask they may be able to give you a general estimation however this would not be accurate.

Do not be so concerned about the amount of compensation at this time.  Concentrate on getting to the bottom of what is causing your symptoms and the way in which your recovery should be managed.  Settling a claim too quickly is one of the biggest mistakes claimants make due to their need for the cash.  Be cautious your injuries sound a little more significant than a little whiplash.

Hope this helps.
