Son fell from tree

Hi wondered if anyone can help. My son was climbing a tree in the local woods and fell from a branch spraining his wrist. I cannot believe that the council would have trees with accessible branches in a wooded area. Is this reasonable?

Paul - to claim compensation you have to prove negligence i.e. that the landowner (if it is the council) was wrong to allow trees to grow in the way they have.

I think that is going to be very difficult to prove. You might have a case if the trees were obviously dangerous and highly likey to be played on by children, overall I think you are unlikely to have a claim. Sorry.
