skidded on water

hi. i have just submitted a claim to my insurance company after my back end skidded on water (it was throwing it down with rain, police said they can clearly see where i skidded and water on the floor)  After skidding, i lost control went onto the other side of the road and rolled my car. Nobody else was hurt or involved at all. I have walked away with very little injuries and it looks like my car will be written off. I have now noticed that on my insurance claim they have said i have admitted liability. Is this right? because there is nobody else involved - am i automatically liable? Other than put my breaks on i did nothing wrong, i was within the speed limit, had my headlights on, doing everything right. I am new to this, never claimed on anything before and don't know what difference it will make if i am liable? Although i was still shaken when i rang my insurance company, when they asked if i took liability, i said no as it was out of my control! please help!

Aquaplaining is usually caused by travelling to fast for the conditions, even 20 MPH can be regarded as too quick in some circumstances, and so unless you could prove that the local authority failed to maintain the drainage causing the road to flood which in turn caused you to lose control, then I am afraid liability is down to you.

Even a well maintained drainage system probbably could not cope with flash flooding, and as there were no other vehicles involved, I am afraid you will have to take thhis one on the chin and put it down to experience.
