Can I claim eventhough I did not get the other driver's details?

Hi

I got hit from behind in February. Was more concerned about the car than me at the time. Came out of the car, inspected it and saw no damage. I then decided not to take the other driver's details and drove off.

4 months later I am now suffering severe headaches. Went to GP and was told that I have sustained whiplash to neck and shoulder. Can I till make a claim eventhough I did not take down the driver's details or registration?
