accident in tesco`s

i was woundering if anyone could shed some light on this situation

i was in tescos 2day wen i was looking at some tomatoe puree on the shelf i went to pick some up off the shelf and some one had left around 4 cans ot tinned tomatoes next to it and just as i went to pick the tomatoe puree up the tinned tomatoes fell off the shelf and landed on my foot..they was on the shelf about waist high so they fell quite a distant..it has cut my two toes and i have very bad bruising with pain and keep gettin pins and needles in my toes i am off up the hospital 2morrow if they are still the same...i reported it to the store and it has been recorded in their accident report book

basically the cans should not of been where they was and this has resulted in the accident do u think i have a good case for a claim on compensation as i feel that this is a breach in health and safety as it could of fell onto a child or anything...thanks in advance for the replies

As a lawful visitor to their premises the store owe you a duty of care to look after your safety. I would say that you do have a valid claim for compensation which my firm would be happy to deal with on a no win no fee basis.
