daughter fell at school

Hi
I had a call from my daughters school today telling me she'd had a fall and needed to go to hospital. I got her to the hospital they did an xray and we found out she had broken her wrist. We later learned that she had tripped over some wire that had been left by work men. Would we be able to claim against the school for this? Thanks Mandy.

Hi, i'm sorry to hear about your daughter's injury. Yes i think it is possible for you to make a claim, but i need some more details about the accident to be sure. Please have a look at our website (google search for "Ashley Ainsworth")  where you can fill in a simple form and we will call you back.

Mandy - it sounds to  me as though the school have been negligent in allowing wire to be left in such a dangerous way. Normal rules about taking care etc do not apply to children and so I think your daughter is likely to recover compensation for her injuries.

You should seek advice from a solicitor. If you do not already have one my firm would be happy to help you as we specialise in accident claims.

The key is in the title. It was an accident. These things happen and this compensation culture is what is wrong with our country. Im sure your daughter will get over it.
