loss of earnings

I was not awarded my degree the uni advised this was because I had failed a unit.  I have had to take employment at a much lower salary.  The university now agree that the degree should have been awarded and this should go through in the next couple of weeks. Do I have a case to claim loss of earning due the wrong decision being made by the Uni
