I caused the acccident - what to do?

I have untypical question. I was exremly tired after my shift byt the employer asked me firmly to stay longer. When I refused I was told that if I left I would loose my job. I had no courage and I worked over hours. I was deconcentrated and due to this I knocked down my clooegue while using the fork lift. It was very stressful for me and I became depressed knowing that I made my work mate permanently disable. I quited job and I have no money. Can I put the responsibility fro this on my former employer? May my collegue make me liable? Can my friend claim even though  he was working inllegaly?
