Compensation for my child after my boyfriend's death

My boyfriend died in the street fight as he was trying to defend us. The police prepared the raport and the court case is in progress. In fact I was only slightly injured and I didn't want to claim for myself. It came out that I am pregnant only after few weeks. Will I have to do the genetic testing to prove that my boyfriend was the father in case  want to get the compensation for my child? Is it possible to claim at all?
