Whiplash - compensation for a kid and for my loosing of earnings

Hello, I would like to ask if I may get higher compensation than usuall if the kid is involvved in the accident. What is more I had to stay at home with my 6-year-old kid and I was absent from work for a longer time. Only due to the kindness of my employer I was not fired. Do you think that I can get additional money for it even though the heltf problems of my son occured only the next day after the accident?
