Stabbed accidentaly

While I was working as usually, my superior  stabbed me with the knife accidentaly. It happened completly ocassionaly. It happened in the cold storage while we were filetting the poultry. I was walking next to the superior who was sharpening the knife. When I was passing by him, he turned back stabbing me at the same moment. The wound was serious and it needed to be check by the doctor. I went to the hospital where it came out that 1,5 cm of my my liver was stabbed. I spent 3 days on the intensive care. Fortunately there was no internal bleeding. After one week I left the hospital.

I realised that I can not claim as it was my suprerior. I promised to stay quiet  and they accepted it. Once, they wanted me to sign the document saying that in case of the further helth problems I will not come back to the company. I realised that it would be very bad for my so I denied. Then they fired me after a couple of weeks saying that there is a crisis.

I am not able to find a job now and I have no income. My situaation is difficult. Is it possible to claim if the accident happened over 1 year ago?
