burn to arm at work

dont know if anyone can help, but a year ago i burnt top of my arm at work with hot oil, the burn blistered and a scar has been left which i am concious of,  went to a solicitors who is dealing with the case , i have had photos taken of the burn and the scar these have been sent to the insurance people and they have come back with Â?1500 my solicitor said that that wasnt enough and i should go for Â?2250 im abit annoyed by this the doctors report has said that the scar isnt going to get any better does this sound reasonable or do I ask for more and can I make my own figure up, my solicitor has come up with the above amount even tho they have not seen the pics of the scar can someone please help this has been going on now over 12 months
