Any compensation?

I had an accident at home ( I didn't sign out any agrement with landlord before that) I hit the glass door from  our garden. It wasm't safty glass, I do not saw that the doors were closed and I hit by me head, then everything colapsed on me, now I had already 2 operations for my hand, leg and stomach, landlord wants to put new window glass using my money from the deposit, Can I get any compensation money?, the company whose was here to check the widndow sad that If this would be a safety glass i do not have all this injurys, what I should do now?

It's hard to say...
In my opinion this was unhappy accident. But maybe some solictor can give a us a answer.

Maciek,

the land lord is oblicated to have a safty glass in that doors. he/she had broke the bulding regulations here and should take responsability for that. You have to go sraight away to solicitor and talk to him. You should not pay for the glass and you have right to claim copenssation from the landlord for that accident.
