Accident on a ring road

That was in last year. I spent a holiday in P'boro. Few weeks earlier I bought a new car. That was my first car. When i rode through ring road in a P'boro sam crazy man goes in the other way and hit in my car. This crazy man was some men from eastern Europe. I had head and elbow injury. This man: Pole or Slovak, nevermind, spoke English so so. He tried understand me, that in his country drivers ride through ring road in the other way, and he forgot, that we're in England and we keep left. After accident I goes to hospital by ambulance and after few weeks I felt good. But my car has a lot of destroyment. Repair was very costly, but no one help me from my compensation firm. Some men said me, that we hasn,t find a men, who prepare an accident. We have a lot of Pole's or Slovak's in UK now, and that could be everyone from this side of Europe. And in the stress after an accident I didn't ask him for a name. So I have a question: If I don't know a name of a accident's preparator could we try for a money from a compensation firm? Repair costed me few hundred of pounds. I'll wait for a answer
