crushed fingers left hand and broken bone

I have unpleasant accident at work. I crushed finger on my right hand. I went go to the hospital. The skin on the bottom was torn off. the next day I had a  surgical intervention. I have to call the insurance carrier monday to find out if they even have insurance.The state is sending me forms to fill out so they can pursue workers comp if need be. So i've a questiom should I consult this case with solicitor?? I am not sure what to do.
