car accident during delivery pizza

My son was in a car accident while working. He delivers pizza. Is there any compensation to be received from his employer or just from my insurance company.

I don't know how it's in this circumstance, usually  pizza delivery men are considered "independent contractors" of the pizza parlor. IF he is considered a full employee of the business, he may be eligible for compensation based on his employment contract agreement.
