hit on cross walk by car who run away

A month ago when I walked to my job with my friend, We passed the street, earlier checked is there any car on road. There aren't and when we cross the road some car driving very fast and hit me and my friend. Driver run away from accident place. I was taken to hospital where I was 5 days, and my friend two.
I had broken leg and concussion, and my sister broken hand.
Where I should go and what should i do to get compensation claim? We don't have any insurance in my job, only NI.
what can we do?

You should make a claims to Motor Insurers? Bureau (MIB). This organization helps claim compenesation when a culprit didn't have a car-insurance or (in your circumstance) when the culprit is unknown.
