the fall from a downstairs at work

i've acidnet at work 23.01.2009. I work as a hotel staff. When I went downstairs with the bedclothes that put clean, I  fall down and fell  off the stairs onto the floor lower. I broke legament,  concussion, and knock out two fingers.
Am i entitled to compensation? Who will pay a compensation for this event?
