AA Car Insurance i hit the bike but I wasn't blame

Last week when I was going back to my home to Northampton from Manchester, some idiot driving in front of me start to break hard. I almost collide  his car!
Suddanly he start to turn right and I saw motorcyclist with bicycle laying on street. I managed to pass by a man, but fortunately I hit the bike!
My car lose engine and was totally distroyed! who is to blame? On the place accident were a police but they  to drew up a protocol and that they will inform about a progress this case. If the blame is that second driving can I compensation from his insurance AA Car Insurance?
