splinter of stone in hand

Hello, two years ago i hammered stones, a small part of stone stabed my hand. It hapened through fault of mine. Does a compensation entitled me  in Scotland and where  can i it obtain? I add, in the ambulance servive a doctor  cut my  hand  in that places to pieces, because he was looking for  splinter of stone. At the present i've a big and visible scar, whereas the splinter is still in hand. Please about answer the guestion.
