unlucky work accidents

Two week ago I had an accident at work. I was carring out my  duty, when my finger right hand (thumb) has been crushed. It was seen in hospital and i'm waiting still for final effects, because a doctor claims, it looks as necessary of an amputation. The Occupational Health Safety's been only taken note of the event. i don't now what i have to do, go by two weeks didn't it draw up a report. The next question: Should I be informred  a factory inspectorate?
