slip on wet floor in toilet at work ( no wet floor sign)

Hi all. i had a slip at work 2 days ago in the toilets . there was alot of water on the floor and no warning sign as it had not been reported. i was taken to A+E and had x rays on my hip. there is no broken bones but severe swelling on my hip. i am using crutches aswell and the doctors signed me off for 1 week but thinks it may take up to 6-8 weeks before i'm back at work. i also have 3 people who aid there wasn't a warning sign. can i contact my employer and discuss compensation or do i have to go legal ??? would much prefer to sort it out without all the hassle????????? also how much would i be looking at???.

any help would be great

kind regards

Hi Christopher,

You could approach your employer regarding your accident at work or you could seek the help of a solicitor.

If you do not want any hassle then your best bet would be to allow a solicitor to deal with your case, this would also ensure you get the correct value of compensation.

It is difficult to estimate exactly how much compensation you would be looking at but certainly a healthy sum.

If you do not already have a solicitor in place I would be happy to provide our (Active Auto Solutions) panel of solicitors. You would not have to pay any fees at any point and would keep all of your compensation.

If you would like to discuss your case further please contact me using the details below.
