Unable to diagnose.
Hi
We find that my son is allergic to cows milk when he was 6 months old, got sever reaction and taken to the gp, where he diagnosed it. GP told us to keep anti allergy syrup at home and give him soy milk instead. 8 months down the line, we visited a doctor outside UK to get some advice from him about my son diet due to his milk allergy, and he diagonsed that my son is developing Rickets, which is due to lack of vitamin D and he said you should have been taken something to cover the deficiency he have by not drinking the cows milk which is main source after sun light. Luckily my son got treated in time, even child perpetration in UK told me that your GP should have given you alternate to vitamin D as soon he knew that child cannot drink milk. Perpetration that time was fuming and offered me written statement if I want to launch formal complaint against my GP. But I decided not to as my son was lucky to be treated in time abroad. Doctors here carry on the same medicine he was prescribed abroad.
Now he is 5 years old, now problem is that he still can't talk, and have learning difficulties. I have met some doctors and they says his growth is slow, and that maybe linked to vitamin D deficiency he had in his early age. Now he have outgrown milk allergy, but that probably have effected his overall health.
Now I am extremely unhappy and father, and seriously thinking of taking legal action against that GP, if my son problem is related to his lame practice. I was so positive that I did not go against him when I was told by many, I thought forgive him if my son is fine, but now I am fuming really. Can someone please tell whether I can go to court against that GP now?
Many thanks
AJ
