shoulder injury at work

hi, i had an accident at work in january this year and injured my shoulder quite badly. the whole incident was caught on one of the quality control cctv cameras and my employers straight away admited this was caused by our maintenace depts negligence and have been surprisingly understanding and helpfull in dealing with my injury. i have had several trips to my own and the company doctor before i was then transfered to a specialist at my local hospital. after 11 months, cortisone injections,physio,x-rays and an MRI scan i am told i need an operation to rectify the problem.
im told the recovery period for this type of procedure will be 5-6 months.
can anyone tell me what sort of claim ammount i should recieve for this?

Every case is different as everyones circustances are different, and so no one is in a position to tell you how much your claim is worth without seeing your medical records and knowing your personal circumstances.

There are 2 parts to the claim, General damages which covers the actual injuries and includes a payment for pain and suffering, and special damages which inlcudes your out of pocket expenses, loss of earnings and a lot more besides.

If you have instructed a solicitor, then he/she will be much better placed to give you an indication of what the value of your case is.

Damages is going to vary in every situation.  It can be dictated by precedence or my law that places limits on personal injury.  However, I would strongly recommend that you retain counsel to get help with this.  This will legitimize your claim in the eyes of the defendants. Have you considered using www.indianapolisinjury.net?

Steven,

You have a potentially very good claim for your accident but each case's compensation is decided on an individual basis and so it wouldn't be fair to estimate an amount for your specific case. However, if you are still looking to make a claim please contact me on 01384620701/07772650364
