tripped over broken slab

I tripped over a broken slab and injured the nerve in my elbow, contacted a solicitor and after 2 years the company admitted liability, since then i had to undergo an operation to move the nerve in the elbow and my solicitor sent me to a specialist for examination, the other side have recieved all the information, that was 3 months ago and they have still not contacted my solicitor, he has since issued them papers to say we are going to court and still not heard anything. But I am always the 1 that has to contact my solicitor and ask for updates, he just says i have to be patient, it has been 11 months since they admitted liability and getting really frustrating am worrying that my solicitor isn't pushing enough for a conclusion.
Any advice would be grateful.
