mother passed away due to neglect of nhs
In dec 2009 my mother passed away. Prior to her passing she had attempted suicide 56 times in the space of a year and a half and was admitted to out patients each time. She had bipolar and also sure ventricular tacchycardia, she was taking medication for both of these conditions. She was assessed by a psychiatrist and was seen to be of sane mind. I myself am frankly annoyed as to why the nhs didn't do any thing as per there duty of care. Fair enough they looked after her each time she was admitted to out patients but why wasn't she given the appropriate psychiatric or medical help at the start of the attempted suicides? Can anyone shed some light on this and give me some options on the best way of sorting this out.
