Hi George - I saw you'd posted this in 2 places so I've pasted my answer to it here too!
Don't worry about your job - when u claim for compensation its not your employers who the compensation is claimed from, it's their insurance policy which they have to cover them for things like this! I was worried about the same thing but thats what everyone told me when I was looking into it. I put in a claim using for CTS over 18 months ago, whilst still working for my work, and there's been no hard feelings. I don't work there any more because I moved house, but it was fine when I did. By the way, I got nearly Â?10,000 in compensation, so it is worth it! PS, I had the surgery on both hands, which took a total of 6 months (had one done, then 3 months to recover, then the other done plus 3 more months) and they are both fine now, no pain at all. So don't be scared about that either, just get it done. My life is SO much better without the numbness and pain. By the way the company I went with for the compensation (after being personally recommended myself) was called HelpUClaim. They've got assessment forms on their website. I've got their number somewhere i think. Found it! Its 08001185855. Think they're based in Manchester. Good luck with it all, let us know how it goes.
