Your claim is against the third party insurers, and not the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA).
Your solicitor will make a claim againstthe third party insurers in respect of your injuries together with any other looses such as out of pocket expenses, damaged property and loss of earnings and overtime.
If you are suffering a financial loss because you are unable to work, and given that lliability has been admitted by the third party, then ask your solicitor to make an application for an interim payment.
What this means is that whilst the value of your claim is being determined, thr third party can make a lump sum payment to keep you solvent whilst your claim progreses, and any numbber of interim payments can be requested if you are suffering financial hardship.
The total amount of these payments is then deducted from the overall lump sum when your case settles, which given the severity by the sound of it of your injuries willmay take some time yet to settle.
Your solicitor should have explained all of this to you.
You have no claim against your employer unless they in some way contributed to the cause of the crash by for example failing to maintain your vehicle in a roadworthy condition, and you have no claim against the Government unless the third party was uninsured, in which case your claim would be against the MIB.
