Is it worth me making a claim for whiplash?

Hi all, just a quick question. 4 days ago i was parked at some traffic lights when a ar car skidded and crashed into the back of my car. Immediately after the accident i felt fine however the next day i felt terrible as i had a very stiff neck and sore back and shoulder. I went to my gp and he said i had whiplash. Now today im feeling abit better. Neck is still abit sore but have full movement despite feeling abit stiff. Shoulder still aches but can move it ok. Main problem is my back really, its constantly aching but is bearable with the painkillers. There more i try to keep still the more it seems to hurt so i wont be able to go to work tomorrow either as im a lorry driver and need to drive for long hours.

Another problem i have is that i suffer from chronic anxiety and it has made me feel alot worse. My appointment to my councellor had to be cancelled as it was on friday and i was in to much pain to drive there. Im constantly worrying about not being able to pay for the bills because i cant get to work. Im struggling to sleep due to the worrying and back pain.  The pain isnt actually extreme and i can move perfectly normal but its still painfull.

Some of you may think this is silly but im constantly worrying about my police application. 3 times a week i go to the gym in order to lose a little but of weight for my medical in 2 months but with these pains its impossible for me to go and im pannicing im not going to be fit enough for the medical. I know this is my anxiety getting the better of me but i cant help but worry and all these extra worries are realling stressing me out and causing alot of aguments between me and my partner.

As you can see this little accident had eaffected me more than just the pain. Judging by how much the pain has improved since thursday i think ill be able to go back to work in a day or 2.

To help put my mind at rest a little could someone please tell me if i am entitled to be compensated for my loss of earnings? If not then i'd rather go to work and put up with the pain.

Mant thanks in advance.

Mark,

Did you have to go to A&E? or see your GP? Back pain, stiffness in the neck, headaches are common symptoms of whiplash, I would at least visit your local GP to have yourself checked out. For now your personal health is of upmost importance. It's encouraging to know you feel better and better as each day passes, but personally I would still take it easy in the gym if I'd been in an accident.

If you need more advice and about making a claim advice, pros and cons, please call me on 0789 0521 395, or text me and I can call you straight back with information.
