Tripped on broken damaged pavement.

I fell-tripped over yesterday {31/05/2001} at approx 16.15. The Pavement surface was dry as were the weather conditions, dry and bright.
As I was walking my dog along a main busy road, only round the corner from where I live.
I tripped-fell over what seems to be uneven broken surface of pavement along the main road.
I fell face first to the ground.  Today my left eye is going backer by the minute I have many laceration's to my face and chin are baldy swollen. My left hand hurts with more cuts and grazes were I must have landed on it. My right knee is painful too.   I have grazes in many other areas of my skin and I am starting to bruise and I'm shaken up and aching all over with the fall.
A gentleman ran over to me as I lay on the ground, and a lady in a car passing stopped to see if I was alright and if I'd lost consciousness and if I wanted any help. The lady then helped me to my feet and helped me home as I was badly shaken.
I did not get either there names, I was into much shock and just wanted to get home. What should I do now ?
