I would like to know if there is an possibility to claim for the compensation after loosing the dog in the car crash.

The other vehicle hit the back side of my car due to the slippy road. Unfortunately, there was my labrador in the boot (my pet was always travelling over there as it was specially adjusted to transport dogs). Due to the accident my dog was badly injured and even though I took him immidiately to the vet, I lost him.

Is there any law regulation regarding the compensations for loosing  animals in the road accidents?
