I use to work in a super market and if any accident happened within the shops premises it had to be reported and filed. Customer or staff. If their was no sign up then and you slipped like you said they have breached health and safety.
The only thing is because you didnt report it they can say it did not happen. Witness's can help but as they are friends they do think they can be lying to help you. If you were picked up by an ambuance at the shop then it does help your case. Dont let time pass by i would get in contact with a solicitor as soon as you can.

Why was the floor wet? Was it wet because someone was cleaning the floor or was
it wet because someone spilled something or dropped something. Please give more
information about the accident. How did you break your leg but not report the
accident to the store? Did you go home first before going to the hospital?
