A payment for solicitors help is in a following kind of cases:1)Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) cases ? If you are the victim of a criminal assault you can claim compensation directly from the CICA.  If you use our solicitors you will be charged 30% of the first ?10.000 of your compensation plus a further 20% of any compensation exceeding ?10.000 plus any disbursements. This figure excludes VAT at the standard rate, currently 17.5%. If your CICA claim fails you have nothing to pay
2)Motor Insurers Bureau (MIB) untraced and uninsured motorists ? This is for road accident cases when the driver who caused the accident cannot be found. If the claim fails there is nothing to pay. If the clam succeeds you may have to pay up to 30% of the claim. This depends on what you are awarded. The solicitors will advise you on what you might have to pay.
3)Other cases -In some rare cases you may have to pay. If you deliberately mislead the solicitors about important facts of your case; or fail to cooperate; or decide not to continue with a case against the advice of our solicitors; if you fail to attend a medical appointment or come to court if required;, if you reject our solicitors advice to settled or drop a case or if you otherwise conduct the case in such a way that unreasonable costs are incurred you might have to pay costs. In most cases this does not happen. The solicitors will advise you about any costs you might incur and will warn you if they think you are going to incur costs that cannot be recovered.
