slipped and hurt back

I slipped in the kitchen i work in due to a leaking dishwasher that hadn't been fixed. I was only off work for 2 weeks but was a lot of discomfort during that period, including sleepless nights.

Can I claim for loss of earnings and compensation even though it has healed ok now and I was only off for a shoprt amount of time?
