Injured in car accident

Hi,
I work in UK 3 years as construction worker.  7 month ago, when I went to work I had an road accident.  I was stationary in a queue of traffic when when  other driver hit me on my back. He was guilty of course. I have problems with my spinal and with my arm. How can I claim compensation? Who paid this money? Thanks for your help.

Sorry about your accident, but you can make a claim against the driver of the car
behind and his insurance company. His insurers should cover your claim. You will
need a solicitor to help you because the insurance company may offer you a poor deal
if you try to deal with it yourself. Most solicitors will be falling over themselves
to take on your case on a no win no fee basis.

Hi im a solicitor who deals with PI work and what would happen is your solicitor would arrange a medical appointment in order that a detailed report may be prepared based on your injuries , from this the solicitor can value your case based on looking at what similar cases have been awarded by the court and can then negotiate settlement from the othersides insurers.

I would definately see a solicitor and ensure member of APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers) to ensure that you get the correct payment as when you deal direct insurers will try to undersettle your case and will send you to their own experts who may have a particular bias. Hope that helps
