Who did you sue for compensation? The worker who dropped something on your head? Did you seek any legal advice from a personal injury solicitor or did you do it yourself?
You should have sued the employer of the worker who caused your accident because all employers must have public liablity insurance. You should not do it yourself but through a personal injury solicitor who will act for you on a "no win, no fee basis".

You should have taken action against the company vicariously rather than the original however if you have Judgment against an individual with no money see if you have any insurance such as household insurance that has a reverse indemnity clause as they may meet an unsatisfied Judgment and mean you end up with a payment.
