GP data breach

My employer's OH requested medical disclosure, which I signed and agreed to (but requested that the letter be sent to me first to agree to its contents). My GP ignored my request. There was a lot of sensitive information in the letter and it has left me extremely anxious.

Can anyone advise on the level of compensation should I sue my GP/ the NHS?
