Back injury

Hi,

I injured my back at work......I was lifting heavy boxes of A3 paper as someone had left them in front of a door and i thought someone would fall over them...i  have been been to the docs every two weeks for the last 3 months as i'm fine when sitting but when i lean forward while sitting or standing i get an excruiciating pain in the right side of my lower back.......i completed the accident book, the company H&S advisor completed an accident report and i went back to work........is this worth pursuing for compensation through a solicitor

In a word: yes.

You have everything you need in order to pursue a compensation claim: Quantum, Limitation and Liability.

You have sustained enough level of injury to make a claim. It was within the last 3 years. It was not your fault. On top of that you have reported it and seeked advice from your H&S advisor.

This is knows as a manual handling claim. Your employer will probably lose their no claims bonus on ther employers liability insurance and you should see a good ammount of compensation.
