Accident at work

I had an accident at work 6 months ago. I work in a bar. During frying chips I was spattered with a hot oil. Even today  I have ugly scars on my hands. I have never claimed for compensation. Do I have this right? The scars do not restrict my movements at work - just look badly.

I belive you should claim - you don't have nothing to lose from it.
and above all you can get a lot of money as compensation.

I'll give you a link to my company of claiming (if you want on private) and no! (this is not a political stunt - i'm handicapped, not so beautiful as your scars).

there is couple question you have to ask yourself before:
Have you been injured in an accident that wasn't your fault in the last 3 years?
What are the level of injury?
specifies your daily shifts, names, owners - employer, workers and more

This way you can determine how much your claim is worth (If any).
I suggest each and everyone of you to enter this company, people you have to stood on your right! (after all we live only once!) find out a bit on it, register, get information and most importantly everything is free!

Employers should provide protective equipment and employees should be train how to properly use it and use it when handling harmful substances.
All the best.

Yes, it is more a question of Helath & Safety at work. And if the accident took place at the workplace it should have been properly recorded! Speak to you boss regarding the safe procedures at work and say that you were injured because the risks that you work involves (need to use personal protective equipment!). Speak to your employer first.

Best regards,
Alex
