accident at work, reoccurance

Hello

A friend had an accident in July 2008 due to not receiving manual handling training. Liability was agreed and he received compensation. However, he has had a relapse and should he make another claim from this reinsurance. He had no support in his recovery, and bullied by managers e..g. remarks like we all have bad backs, you're an old man, he was sworn at, got told "have you been shot" when he was limping due to his sciatica, all the team moaned when he was in pain, they said it distracted them, they did not follow gp's instructions considering they wrote saying no lifting or bending, their final occupational health never assessed him in person.

the personal injury medical expert agreed it was due to  the injury but 18 months after would not be, but would this be a case for stress at work

if liability denied would he still get loss of earnings as he would have still worked there if he had not suffered bullying

thanks

Tom - if your friend has received compensation for his injuries then he is unlikely to be able to make any further claim as a result of the accident. However he might have a seperate claim based on the way he was treated. He needs to speak to a solicitor who specialises in Employment Law.

Sidell - it sounds as though you might have a claim for your injuries and a possible employment claim. You need to speak to a solicitor who specialises in Accident Claims and a solicitor who specialises in Employment Law.

That sounds like a nasty accident and injury.  As Martyn above says you have two issues here an employment one and a claim for Personal Injury.

If you would like more advice on both issues please do contact either ourselves or Martyn above and I am sure one of us will be able to assist you.  Please do make sure that which ever firm you choose they are experts in these fields if you do not wish to use our services.

A mechanic lien is defined as any claim that is placed on a property in order to receive payment for work performed or materials that have been provided. These liens prevent property owners from making profits on property before paying all of their contractors and subcontractors. While filing a mechanic lien against a property can be an effective negotiating tool for obtaining money owed, its success is absolutely dependent on following the law carefully. aurora construction subcontractor attorney
