Slip In meadowhall Shopping Centre

HI  just wanted some advise really, I slipped whilst running after my son shopping in meadowhall. As a result of this i was hospitalised for 9 days and had to have a an operation to plate and pin my ankle and leg. Just wondered if i could claim compensation for my accident.
I had normal boots that i wore daily on that wouldnt have caused me to slip although i cant remember if anything was actually on the floor that i slipped on. The floor itself was polished marble tiles.
