Motorway accident heavy injuries

when I was driving back to my hom eafter work I had motorway accident. Driver of Saab enforce priority on road and hit me from left.  I had terrible shoulder pain, I had also a minor brain damage. I've spend there 3 months on intencive medical treatment. I had several operation on legs (both have been broken) and skull. Driver of this car drove away and police didn't catch him.
What can I do know? after almost one and a half year I consider to start compensation.

please help me...
