Slip / Trip On council Pavement

Hi,

I slipped / tripped on the pavement outside work 5 weeks ago. The pavement is in quite a bad state or repair. Raised Slab's anywhere up to 1inch (a slabs thickness), missing 'bricks' very badly cracked slabs and even holes 1inch + deep.

I twisted my ankle and had to go to hopsital. The A&E said i had an avulsion fracture and i had to have a pot on for 4 weeks.

I have taken a picture of the slab i think i tripped on, but when i took the picture a council worker was watching and this slab has now been raised to be flush with the others.
Do you think I could claim?

Not only did I have 4 weeks off work, unpaid, but I've not really been able to do anything with the cast on.

Thanks
