the fracture of the nose and concussion - kid's violence

Hello,

my son was going back home when his class mate hit him.Josh was taken to the hospital with the concussion. THe school didn't take care of him at all even though it happened next to the main entrance. I was informed only by the mother of the best friend onf my son about the fact that he went to the hospital. To my mind it was a terrible negligance. Furthermore, the boy who hit my son was not punished at all! I don't want my kid to grow up surrounded with violence and I don't want him to believe that misbehaving is ok. Now, he can't attend classes and he is waiting for the operation of his broken nose. Noone from school gives us support. There is no teacher who teaches him at home. Is it all right? What can we do? Where can I claim?
