Broken ribs at work on farm

Last year when I was working on my uncle farm, I broke my ribs. It was in the middle of helping him with cows. I fall down so unfortunately that I haven't any chance to avoid this injury. I asked my uncle if he had insurance. He was so furious that I asked him about this insurance, and said me to go home. I was furious as well. What can i do now? I supossed that farmers have obligation to buy kind of "framers insurance". I was in hospital because of that and I don't want to leave this accident without any moves...
