cross thumb tendon at work

My fiance has a accident at work two months ago. He work without handgloves - he move heavy metal plate with other worker - and he cross his thumb tendon. He had operation in dutch hospital.  he have sick pay for 14 weeks. He has witness of accident he hasn't got a safety traning. I would to know what can we do to claim compensation?

I see grounds for such claims. Why did he work without handgloves? If you wish to make a claim for compensation you can do so if your employer was to blame for the accident either because they we4re negligent or in breach of statutory rules such as health and safety regulations.  By Law, your employer must have insurance to cover liability for the accident. The insurance does not pay out automatically just because you have had an accident; you have to prove a case of negligence or breach of statutory duty to win your case.
