injured knee in work-where comensation from?

Hello. Working yesterday, I was asked to work up stairs in the storage room. I was carrying a box and I walked through the door, a pallet had been left a few feet from the door. I fell over the pallet face first and injured my knee. The pallet is usually in its designated area which is marked out by red and yellow tape, which it wasn’t at this time. Any advice? thanks

I’m sorry to hear about your accident. Based on everything you’ve said so far, it sounds like you have excellent grounds to bring a claim. The pallet should have been stored in a designated area, and was clearly left out carelessly by another staff member. This would mean that the employer is vicariously liable for your accident – “vicariously liable” means that the employer will be held responsible for the negligent actions of an employee.
